What role does a WGU Indiana Enrollment Counselor do at our Indiana online university? WGU Indiana Enrollment Counselors recruit, enroll, and assist new students who apply for the university's degree programs. They counsel anyone that is interested in the university, not just applicants. They are the first line of contact with the university and play an important role in informing prospective students about the university and guiding them through the process of becoming a student. They also collaborate across a variety of the university's departments to meet the needs of an applicant. We had the pleasure of interviewing one of our Enrollment Counselors, Summer Ball. We learned what inspires her every day, as well as how being an Enrollment Counselor at WGU Indiana has positively affected her life.

Established by the state of Indiana through a partnership with Western Governors University, WGU Indiana is designed to serve the needs of Indiana residents. WGU Indiana offers more than 50 accredited bachelor's and master's degrees in high-demand career fields. This Indiana university provides a unique possibility for adults in Indiana to succeed with higher education.

WGU sponsored a scholarship video contest this year. Contestants were asked to watch the WGU commercial, and then create their own commercial showing us why WGU is a "A Smarter Way to Learn". They were able to submit humor, drama, action, or animation—whatever genre they wanted. The objective was to create a 30, or 60-second video "commercial" that would make a real impression. Winners were be determined by a combination of online general public votes and a panel of WGU judges. We had the pleasure to interview our 2nd place winner, James Brahos, a WGU Indiana university student.

On Wednesday, October 27, we recognized seven Indiana online degree graduates at our first commencement. Commencement included Governor Mitch Daniels and Chancellor Allison Barber at the Indiana Statehouse. The staff at WGU and WGU Indiana would like to congratulate each of them.
